I have been guiding guests through the parks and mountains of the west for the last twenty years.  From rivers just outside Denali National Park to premier ski areas in Colorado and Wyoming; giving guests an amazing adventure in nature is what I love to do!  The Rockies have many special places but Western Wyoming stands on its own. After guiding for many great companies over the years, I am now living the dream of my own tour business.  These lands hold so many histories of people and animals; you could spend a lifetime exploring them. Let's go get it.

I enjoy working behind the scenes to make a trip run without a hitch. Aaron and I met while we were river guiding in Alaska and we have been working together ever since.  We got married in there sometime too-we don't seem to be able to remember and celebrate the date.  :)

I am a middle school teacher by school day and a wilderness wanderer at all other times. I am always around to answer questions, offer itinerary ideas or suggest a local delicacy.   My current culinary endeavors include perfecting elk stew.

Please let me know how I can be of service.

Jason began his career in the outdoors as a patrolman working for a scenic tourist railroad in Colorado that runs from Durango to Silverton. He loved the experience of seeing what the mountains had to offer each day rolling up the train tracks, spotting elk, deer, birds of prey and even an occasional moose or mountain lion rolling in the mountains or next to the Animas River. A desire to be of service to others led him to the world of wilderness and adventure therapy where he flourished as a guide, assisting with the healing journey of young people by teaching them life skills through outdoor adventure and connection to nature.

During his off time from guiding in the backcountry Jason developed a love for travel both internationally and throughout the southwestern United States. He found that his prize possessions had become all the beautiful memories and strong connections with others he had through powerful shared experiences, most often in the natural world. When he isn’t actively engaged with guiding a trip he enjoys playing music, rock climbing and studying the traditions of ancient cultures.

Chris is a certified master naturalist from Florida.  He grew up in Fort Myers, FL and learned what it is to love nature from his father.  His father showed him to appreciate the depth of the living world and see it holistically.

When asked what his favorite animal is, Chris answered, "Whichever one I am looking at."

His guiding experience involves kayak guiding in the Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp as well as designing active tours for an inn on Sanibel Island.

He also served for 15 years in the US Army as a Calvary Scout and was deployed to Iraq four times.

He found his draw for the West in the military, after being stationed in Colorado Springs, CO and spending a few years in the Rockies.

Chris is a "red meat guy", he loves dogs and country music.

Erik's love of travel began as a child, vacationing with his parents on camping and RV trips. He loved studying maps and following along as the navigator. His love of learning and exploring the great outdoors grew even stronger as a Boy Scout and he went on to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

Erik's other passion is music. He started playing the piano at the age of 3 years old. This love led him on a journey to attend and graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and start his own music business.

After college, Erik spent many years driving the interstates of America in awe of the immense beauty. He finally settled on the Washington coast. Still, his love of travel kept calling. He longed to be among fellow travelers sharing experiences, discussing all the amazing places in the great country. So he changed careers, obtained his certifications for International Tour Management and Interpretation and now looks forward to sharing his knowledge and love of history, geology, and wildlife. After working in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, Erik has joined our team at Teton Excursions and is excited to guide your tour!

When not working, Erik enjoys traveling with his wife. They have explored dozens of states together. He also enjoys studying history, photography, hiking, camping, cooking, storytelling, and music.
